Studies on Nutritional Value of Fruits in Latur District of Maharashtra State (India) with Special Reference to Iron Mineral

Abstract

A present investigation was carried out to determine the nutritional value of fruits grown in Latur district like Banana, Papaya, Sapota, Pomegranate, Apple and Fig. From the investigation it has been observed that the papaya fruit observed highest amount (1.32%) of ash where as apple content lowest (0.49%) amount of ash content. The other fruits like Banana, Sapota, Ponagnate and fig observed the 0.85, 0.67, 0.83, and 1.03% of ash Papaya fruit observed very high (2.22 mg/100 gm) and Banana observed very lowest (0.09 mg/100 gm) amount of iron content.
