STUDY OF AGE CHARACTERISTICS OF ADULT SELF-EFFICACY

Abstract
In order to become a professional, an adult must master new thinking, be able to effectively adopt new information, achieve goals and be the subject of own development. It is possible to achieve this subject to the development of self-efficacy of the individual, a phenomenon that is a predictor of success in life, helps to manage behavior and be productive in activities and communication. The phenomenon of educational self-efficacy of a person differs from the diversity of types of self-efficacy in other spheres of life. It characterizes the adult as a subject of learning, confident in own learning abilities, aware of own competence, able to design own development, psychologically ready for self-modification and self-improvement through education. Educational self-efficacy helps adult in professional and personal self-realization, promotes competitiveness on the modern labor market, social adaptation and creative life. Using dispersion analysis, it has been found that age is a significant factor that contributes to the development of indicators (components) of educational self-efficacy. With age, there is an increase in the indicators of “Value-semantic attitude to learning activities (education)”, “Responsibility for education and self-development and reduction of indicators “Motivation-goal orientation in learning”, “Confidence in own educational ability”, “Prognostic-reflexive ability to learn”. The prospects for further research of the described construct are given.
