STUDY OF PATTERN OF FATAL HEAD INJURIES IN CASES OF FALL FROM HEIGHT AND FALL OF HEAVY OBJECT ON BODY AUTOPSIS AT VYDEHI HOSPITAL BANGALORE

Abstract

The study was done in vydehi hospital Bangalore, this part of Bangalore is growing rapidly as it is Major IT hub of Bangalore and several construction works are going. Construction labours are involved from different parts of country so incidences of accidental fall at work place is common. The current study was done for a period of five and half years. Total number of head injury cases was 200 out of which 47 cases are those of fall from height and fall of objects Male predominance and common age of involvement between 21-30years. Study concluded Head is fatal in all cases involved. With laceration as common external injury, internally there are fractures of skull common.
