Study of Structure of Polypropylene Microfibres Modified with Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes
Journal Title: Fibres and Textiles in Eastern Europe - Year 2015, Vol 23, Issue 3
Abstract
The paper presented is concerned with studies of a supermolecular structure and its transformation during the process of drawing new composite microfibres obtained from isotactic polypropylene (iPP) – as a matrix and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) used as the filler. The nanostructure of iPP/MWCNT microfibres as spun and after drawing at a temperature of 95 °C was investigated using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), wide angle X-ray scattering (WAXS), small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) methods.

Optimization of the Fenton Oxidation of Synthetic Textile Wastewater using Response Surface Methodology
This article presents the possibility of using the classical Fenton process (Fe(II)/H2O2) to purify synthetic textile wastewater (COD=1872 mg O2/dm3, TOC=660 mg/dm3) containing azo dye Anilan Blue GRL 250% (200 mg/dm3)...
Standardisation Versus Adaptation – Marketing Communication Strategies of Multinational Companies on the European Textile Market
The article presents an analysis of the issue of marketing communication strategy standardisation/adjustment by multinational textile companies on the European market. The own research is based on information presented o...
Comparative Safety Testing (acute systemic toxicity in mice) of Two Materials Prepared from Polypropylene-Polyester (Codubix S) or Acrylate Resin (Mendec Cranio) Used for the Manufacturing of a Calvaria Prosthesis
The aim of the study was a comparison of the acute toxicity of two popular prostheses used in the reconstruction of the bones of the skull. For the tests, the following materials were used: a polypropylene-polyester knit...
