STUDY OF THE EFFICIENCY OF A CATALYTIC CONVERTER AND REDUCTION OF TOXICITY OF CAR ENGINE OUTPUT GASES

Journal Title: International scientific journal Science and Innovation - Year 2025, Vol 4, Issue 1

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of a catalytic converter used to reduce the toxicity of exhaust gases from an automobile engine. The research will study the effect of various factors (temperature, fuel composition, engine operating mode) on the effectiveness of exhaust gas purification using a converter. In particular, the number of harmful substances such as carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxides (NOx) and hydrocarbons (HC), as well as the changes that occur in exhaust gases before and after purification by a catalyst, will be analyzed. The results of the study are expected to help identify the most effective methods of reducing emissions and improve the air quality of large cities through the development of environmentally friendly technologies.
