Journal Title: Online Journal of Communication and Media Technologies - Year 2016, Vol 6, Issue 1

Abstract

The present studyis undertaken with the objective to analyse the opinion of secondary school teachers regarding barriers in classroom communication. It is evident from the result of the analysis thatbarriers existmore, or less, though there is significant difference in opinion among the teachers regarding various dimensions of communication. The majority of the teachers opined that barriers were not due to the source of communication (teacher) but the problem lies with the other elements of the process: the classroom environment, the curriculum and the students.
