Study on Lightweight and Sound Insulation Characteristics of Aluminum Profile Structure Parameters for Metro Train Floors

Journal Title: Urban Mass Transit - Year 2024, Vol 27, Issue 5

Abstract

Objective Developing lightweight and low noise is a current trend in rail transit. Achieving lightweight and low-noise design of metro train floor profiles is of significant importance for improving passenger comfort. Method A prediction model for the sound insulation characteristics of metro train floor aluminum profile structures is established based on FE-SEA (finite element-statistical energy analysis). Simulation results are compared with test results to verify the validity of the model. The influence of four parameters of the floor aluminum profile structure—rib angle, rib thickness, upper plate thickness, and lower plate thickness—on its sound insulation characteristics of aluminum is analyzed. The lightweight principle of the mass law is used as the criterion to determine the optimal structure by selecting the four structural parameters, ultimately achieving the lightweight and acoustically optimized floor aluminum profile structure. Result & Conclusion The results indicate that among the listed optimized aluminum profile structure parameters, selecting a rib angle of 47°, rib thickness of 2 mm, upper plate thickness of 2.7 mm, and lower plate thickness of 2.7 mm can reduce the structural mass by 1.18 kg/m2. The mass of the entire compartment floor can be reduced by approximately 70.8 kg, while the weighted sound insulation only decreases by 0.3 dB, which demonstrates a better lightweight and acoustically optimized effect. Reference is provided for the lightweight and noise reduction optimization design of aluminum profile structures for metro train floor.
