Study on Lignin Isolation from Oil Palm Empty Fruit Bunches
Journal Title: Eksakta: Jurnal Ilmu-Ilmu MIPA - Year 2016, Vol 16, Issue 1
Abstract
Study on lignin isolation from oil palm empty fruit bunches have been done by using batch method. The optimum lignin isolation method was achieved through this study. The study was conducted on the optimization of reaction temperature, mass ratio of NaOH to the solvent, the ratio of fibers to solvents, and reaction time. Of all the treatments, it was found that the reaction optimum temperature, system pressure, concentration of NaOH, the ratio of fibers to solvents and reaction time respectively, 170 °C, 15 atm, 1% (w/v), 9% (w/v), and the reaction was carried out for 5 hours.
Conversion of Carbon Dioxide to Ethanol by Electrochemical Synthesis Method Using Brass as A Cathode
The effect of potential and gas flow rate were investigated to determine the optimum conditions of the electrochemical synthesis process to convert carbon dioxide to ethanol. The conversion process is carried out using a...
