Study on Properties of Monotone Function
Journal Title: Scholars Journal of Physics, Mathematics and Statistics - Year 2015, Vol 2, Issue 2
Abstract
Firstly, this paper gives the conditions of the existence of four kinds of unilateral limits and limit values for monotone function; points out the relationship between the existence of four kinds of unilateral limits and sequence limit, and weakens the conditions of Heine theorem. Secondly, it demonstrates that the discontinuity points of monotone functions are the discontinuity points of the first kind, and their number is countable at most within a interval. Finally, it gives the relationship between upper and lower limits of bounded sequence and monotone function and bounded sequence, and provides corresponding application examples.

On the bounds for the main proof measures in some propositional proof systems
Various proof complexity characteristics are investigated in three propositional proof systems, based on determinative disjunctive normal forms. The comparative analysis for size, time, space, width of proofs is given. F...
Relativistic Harmonic Oscillator
This is a straightforward approach to the system, namely through the solution of the concerned differential equation. In this paper, an expression for the time-period of the motion as measured by a stationary observer, a...
Application of Time Series Model for predicting Future adoption of sugarcane variety: KEN 83-737
Both exponential smoothing and Box-Jenkins’ ARIMA models are used in this study as time series modeling approaches to forecast sugarcane variety adoption in Kenya. The accuracy of the two methods are assessed and ARIMA (...
Classification of the Solutions to the third-order homogeneous linear difference equation with constant coefficients
This paper mainly studies classification of the solutions to the third-order homogeneous linear difference equation with constant coefficients. First, we determine the generating function of it. Then, we use the complete...
Fabrication of Schottky Barrier Solar Cells of Copper (I) Oxide (Cu2O) by the Process of Partial Thermal Oxidation
Copper (1) Oxide (Cu2O) is a non-stoichiometric semi-conductor. It is envisaged that this semiconductor could be used for the fabrication of low-cost solar cells. These solar cells have been fabricated by researchers usi...
