Study on the Influence of the Chemical Composition in the Thermomechanical Processing of the Steel Products
Journal Title: Analele Universitatii "Dunarea de Jos" din Galati. Fascicula IX, Metalurgie si Stiinta Materialelor - Year 2009, Vol 32, Issue 1
Abstract
This paper presents the results of industrial scale researches on the influence of the chemical composition on the characteristics of high yield point plates of wieldable fine grain steels. The comparative study of the mechanical characteristics obtained by the classical process and by the controlled rolling process point out the possibility of replacing the classical heat treatment for some steel grades, for plates used metallic structures in railway bridges, high tornage travelling cranes, marine platform bases, high pressure vessels, etc.

Influence of Heat Treatment Technology on the Structure and Properties of Thick Sheet Steel ASTMS14 Degree F
In this paper, based on the researches carried out a heat treatment technology can be determined which further lead to an optimum set of mechanical properties according to the technical conditions: A. Annealing (austenit...
The Influence of the Thermomagnetic Treatments on the Hardness Number of Steels and the Superficial Layers Nitrided Durability
Two types of steels subjected to a nitriding thermo-chemical treatment after thermomagnetic treatments. The structural aspects into superficial layer of these steels are studied during friction process by using of an Ams...
Characterisation of CVD Niobium Carbide Coatings on Hard Carbide Substrate
Hard coatings are often used for mechanical properties such as wear and friction resistance. The corrosion behaviour may also be an important criterion for industrial applications of these coatings. In this paper, the pr...
Kinetics of Nitroso R-SALT Sorption on Amberlite IRA 402 Resin
The sorption of nitroso R salt from aqueous solution by ion exchange resins, such as AMBERLITE IRA 402 (Cl- form) , is described. The experimental data have been analyzed by using the sorption kinetics for a first-order...
History of Faberge Eggs
Faberge's primary source of inspiration came from works of previous centuries. Translucent enameling was a valued technique in the nineteenth century that required several coats of applied enamel and the "firing" of the...
