Study on water bursts of bauxite mines underground mining

Abstract

Underground mining is an inexorable trend and choice of bauxite resource in China, water bursts is one of the main disasters which is needed to faced during mining. The classifications and features of water bursts in bauxite mines mining is given according to the water resources, mining technique, rock mass structures, water inrush patterns and amount et al. With an example, Duancun-Leigou bauxite mine which sits in the west of Henan Province in China, water bursts classifications and the effects on the bauxite mine building are analyzed according to the water resources, the mechanism of the water bursts is explained. Water disaters prevention and cure of Duancun-Leigou bauxite mine are pointed.
