Study relationship between emotional intelligence and staff organizational obligation (Case study: industry, mine and trade organization of Zanjan province)

Abstract

Growing use of emotional intelligence in mental pathology, education, interpersonal relationship, job satisfaction, economical and commerce activities, and wellbeing show increasing attention to this aspect of intelligence along logical intelligence. Based on goal this research is applied, based on subject properties is descriptive and based on methodology is survey – field study. This research investigate relationship between emotional intelligence with organizational obligation in industry, mine and trade organization of Zanjan province there for 5 hypotheses provided and tested with a questionnaire with 55 items that distributed between all staff of industry, mine and trade organization of Zanjan province and finally 172 completed questionnaires used to data analyzing. Spearman correlation coefficient used to test hypotheses and Freedmand test used to ranking elements of organizational citizenship behavior and "t" test used to differences evaluation. All statistical test implemented by SPSS software. Results showed there is significant and positive relationship between emotional intelligence and its component such as consciousness, self- management, social awareness, and relationship management with organizational obligation. Ranking results showed importance of elements of emotional intelligence is as following respectively: 1) relationship management; 2) self-management; 3) social awareness; 4) self-awareness. Results of t test showed emotional intelligence in men staff is higher.
