Study the Comparison of Wear Characterization Al6061/ Red Soil and Al6061/ Granite Dust Based Metal Matrix Composite Material
Journal Title: International Journal of Mechanical and Production Engineering Research and Development (IJMPERD ) - Year 2018, Vol 8, Issue 2
Abstract
Aluminium based metal grid composites (MMCs) are well known materials for basic applications in the air ship and vehicle ventures, exceedingly wear and erosion resistance, conductive, lightweight and have a high quality. Wear and aluminium of Al6061 with red soil and stone tidy fortification through blend throwing strategy was performed. Wear test was made by utilizing Pin on Disk Apparatus on the readied test. It was found that, under mellow wear conditions, the composite showed bring down wear rate and rubbing coefficient, contrasted with rock tidy. Nonetheless, for serious wear conditions, the composite showed higher wear rate and erosion coefficient, and it was elucidated that the contact and wear conduct of Al6061/red soil and Al6061/rock clean composite is to a great extent affected by the connected heap of 4kg, and there exists a basic load past, which is stone tidy that could negatively affect the wear resistance of red soil..
