Studying the Parameters of the Solid Particle Erosion and Test Procedure
Journal Title: Caspian Journal of Applied Sciences Research - Year 2012, Vol 1, Issue 13
Abstract
To suggest a material in any applications it need many number of experiments. It has to satisfy the many specifications, conditions and properties, among the properties mechanical and tribological properties plays main role in engineering fields. Today there exist a couple of standard test methods for different types of wear to determine the amount of material removal during a specified time period under well-defined conditions. Studies of erosive wear by solid particle impingement involve the measurement of several significant experimental parameters, such as particle velocity, particle size (distribution), angle of incidence and others. So any attempt had done to study the angles, velocity conversion from pressure and erosion wear finding procedure, erosion efficiency finding formulas are discussed. The velocities for different pressures are also investigated in this paper.

Using Soil and Water Assessment Tool For Flow Simulation and Assessment Of Sensitive Parameters Applying SUFI-2 Algorithm
This study describes the application of a semi-distributed model for flow simulation and assessment of sensitive parameters. Semi-distributed model is a trade-off between fully distributed and lumped models. In this stu...
A Novel Method for Determination of Grinding Wheel Loading
Wheel surface condition plays an important role in the grinding operation. Wheel loading which is chip accumulation in the space between grains leads to the deterioration of wheel cutting ability and causes excessi...
A Similarity Solution of Mixed Convection Flow along Unsteady Stretching Sheet
Similarity solution of the boundary layer flow and heat transfer of a viscous incompressible fluid along a vertical unsteady stretching sheet in quiescent fluid is presented in case when temperature difference betw...
Enhancement of Rice Straw Biodegradability by Alkaline and Acid Thermochemical Pretreatment Process: Optimization by Response Surface Methodology (RSM)
The solubility of rice straw in alkali, Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) and Potassium Hydroxide (KOH), and acid, Sulfuric Acid (H2SO4), pretreatment process were optimized by response surface methodology (RSM). Laboratory-...
Semi-invariant -Submanifolds of trans-Sasakian Manifolds
This paper is devoted to the study of a semi-invariant –submanifolds of trans-Sasakian manifold. Further we investigated the integrability of the distribution defined by this submanifold. An addition, some results are...
