Stukanov Y. M. (1931–2012): life, activity, creativity (dedicated to the 85thbirth anniversary)
Journal Title: Нові сторінки історії Донбасу - Year 2016, Vol 25, Issue
Abstract
The socio-political realities in the East of Ukraine became the reason of the forced displacement of higher educational institutions of the Donetsk region inland. The displaced universities turned out to be in a new socio-cultural environment, which was detached from the socio-cultural reality of an abandoned city. The study of the history and traditions of a University is the key to preserving the unique "look" of each displaced University. In this context, it is important to revitalize the study of the history of each Uni-versity, its traditions, scientific schools, the contribution of scientists, educators, leaders to science, education, and the effective operation of the University. One of the areas in the framework of the history of the University-migrant is a study of the life and activities of the representatives of scientific and teaching staff. This direc-tion is perspective also in the context of such methodological approaches as micro-history, social and historical anthropology, oral history, a biographical research, the single case history (case study), and mental cartography. Carried out the research of the life path, professional – scientific and pedagogical – as well as the creative activity of the historian-archivist and the lecturer of Donetsk National University Yevhen Mukolajovuch Stukanov (1931–2012). Considered such aspects of the problem as the biography of E.M. Stukanov, his professional activity as a scientist-archivist and a lecturer in the field of archival science, and his creative activity as an amateur musician, composer, poet, and an amateur electronics engi-neer.
