Substantiating the Indicators for Evaluating the Activities of Commodity Exchanges for Sale of Agricultural Products

Abstract
The article determines the main indicators of the commodity exchange activity that provides the ability to analyze, prognosticate and make managerial decisions as to leadership of the exchanges, so to potential and existing customers who participate in the exchange auctions. In the first stage nine indicators were selected, characterizing the work of commodity exchanges in the grain market. In the second stage the selected indicators were evaluated. To determine, which of the indicators (group of indicators) is the most significant in terms of results of the commodity exchange activity, the extent of impact on the final result has been identified for each indicator. The results obtained indicate that the exchange trade volume, number and value of concluded contracts can the most significantly characterize the activities of commodity exchanges in Ukraine in the grain market and can be used to evaluate the results of their activities.
