SUBSTANTIATING THE RATIONAL LAW OF PRESSURE CHANGE IN THE ELECTROPNEUMATIC BRAKE ACTUATOR DURING EMERGENCY BRAKING

Abstract

In this work the results of studying the effect of the pressure change rate in electro-pneumatic brake actuator on the braking process of a vehicle wheel was analyzed and summarized. It describes the basic principles of control devices with electronic control. Mathematical modeling of processes occurring in the electro-pneumatic brake actuator during vehicle braking was also made as well as the simulation of the dynamics of the vehicle without locking its wheels. The simulation of the vehicle's movement in the equipped and loaded state was performed. The results of simulation of the processes occurring in a brake drive of a vehicle as the result of its braking under different loads are shown. The effect of the road slope on the intensity of the vehicle wheels’ braking is also determined. The article describes the impact of control principles on the dynamics of the wheeled vehicle and determines the way to change the rate of brake chamber filling during simulation of the work processes of a vehicle electro-pneumatic brake. The recommendations are given regarding the choice of rational pressure intensity in electron-ically controlled device for a vehicle with an electropneumatic brake actuator. The purpose of the study is to choose the rational nature of the change in pressure in the electropneumatic brake actuator of the vehicle during its emergency braking. The scientific novelty of the work is that for the first time it was proposed not to change intensively the pressure after the start of braking by stretching the pro-cesses of filling the brake chamber during the con-trol of electro-pneumatic devices of the brake actua-tor.
