Journal Title: Туберкульоз, легеневі хвороби, ВІЛ-інфекція - Year 2018, Vol 0, Issue 2
Abstract
Objective — to show the achievements and disadvantages of the fight against TB in the Ternopil region over the last decade. Materials and methods. The basis of the work is laid literary, official protocol, analytical statistics and own research and observation. Results and discussion. By statistical data, own observations and studies, we state the marked positive changes in the fight against TB in the region over the last decade. However, at the same time, some shortcomings were noted, both in the work of the TB service and the general medical network. This is a low indicator of the timely detection of TB by general medical services since a significant part of the first identified lung tuberculosis patients died before the observation year. Inadequate volume of infection control in the tuberculosis infection focus. Conclusions. Some inertness of sanitaryeducational work was observed in the health work among the population and patients. And to achieve significant results, both in Ukraine and at the regional level, considerable efforts are needed, first of all at the level of the state, the public and the medical service, and a thorough knowledge of sanitaryeducational work and the doctors of different professions. After all, the activity of a doctor is to prevent disease and restore the health of a sick person.
