Судово-медичне бачення проблеми виникнення та діагностики ятрогеній / Forensic View to the Problem of the Origin and Diagnosis of Yatroheniy

Abstract
The article deals with the current causes of the emergence of different types of yatroheniya and their main features that are found in the practice of a forensic expert. Yatroheniya is any undesirable or adverse effects of prophylactic, diagnostic, medical interventions or procedures that have caused violations of the functions of the body, restriction of usual activity and disability or even death. This phenomenon can be considered as a complication of medical measures that have developed as a result of both false and correct actions of the doctor. This issue can be represented as diseases generated by medical personnel of any level and represent a psychogenic illness (neurosis), which arises on the ground of unfavorable action on the psyche of the patient or the behavior of the doctor or other health care workers. Yatroheniya includes all diseases and injuries that may occur not only in patients but also in medical staff during the provision of medical care. The reduction of the cases of yatroheniya contributes to the strict implementation of the appointments of the doctor, as well as the awareness of the patient (or his relatives and relatives) about the peculiarities of the course of the disease in this case, the tactics of treatment, possible complications on the existing premorbid background, methods of laboratory and instrumental monitoring of the patient's condition, his behavior and dietary constraints depending on the severity and course of the disease, and so on. In this regard, a wider interpretation of the term “yatroheniya”, not only a medical tort, but also all medical manipulations, during which, even with the correct treatment, may lead to the development of yatroheniya.
