Surface Hardening Over 38MoCrAl09 Steel by YAG:Nd Pulse Laser
Journal Title: Analele Universitatii "Dunarea de Jos" din Galati. Fascicula IX, Metalurgie si Stiinta Materialelor - Year 2008, Vol 31, Issue 2
Abstract
Laser offers unique capabilities for high energy concentrations at small surfaces. Factors that have influences over interactions between laser beam and steel surfaces have very high control. Pulse laser YAG:Nd is usually used for cutting and welding. Paper is based on hardening experiments using KVANT 17 (YAG:Nd) pulse laser over 38MoCrAl09 steel. Results were investigated by hardness (HV5) macrographic and micrographic method.

Dust Emissions from an Integrated Steel Mill in Correlation with Human Exposure and their Adverse Health Effects
Many of the metallurgical operations contribute to generation of the dust emissions if these are not properly controlled and managed. The relevant sectors as important sources for airborne dust are: coke oven plant, sint...
Research on the Corrosion Resistance, in Saline Solution, of Steel Sheets for Industrial Construction, by Gravimetric Method
In this paper, it was presented a study on corrosion in saline medium, by gravimetric method, of the steel sheets for industrial construction. The corrosion rate was estimated by gravimetric method and evaluate based on...
A Typical Surface Formations Found on the Corrosion Layer of Iron Artefacts
The paper presents the experimental results obtained by applying non-invasive methods (OM, SEM-EDX, XRF) on two iron artefacts from the IInd and the IIIrd centuries A.D. (discovered in the incineration graves from Gabăra...
Magnetical Properties of Silicon Steels Used for Electrotechnical Industries
This paper-work shows the laboratory experiments achieved on more silicon steel plates, where the magnetic ranges were spot- lighted by particular technical requirements. On the same plates the texture analyses were made...
Studies on the Effects of Olive Oil Oxidation
The aim of this study is the viscosity’s evolution depending on the temperature and the shear rate and the analysis of the transmittance spectra of the oxidized olive oil. Oxidation of olive oil is a process that leads t...
