Survey on MapReduce and Scheduling Algorithms in Hadoop
Journal Title: International Journal of Science and Research (IJSR) - Year 2015, Vol 4, Issue 2
Abstract
we are living in the data world. It is not easy to measure the total volume of data stored electronically. They are in the unit of zettabytes or exabytes referred as Big Data. It can be unstructured, structured or semi structured, they are not convenient to store as well as process with normal data management methods and with machine having limited computational power. Hadoop system is used to process large datasets with efficient and inexpensive manner. MapReduce program is used to collect data as per the request. To process large volume of data proper scheduling is required to achieve greater performance. The objective of the research is to study MapReduce and analyze different scheduling algorithms that can be used to achieve better performance in scheduling.

On the Evaluation of the Fifth Degree Elliptic Singular Moduli
We find in a closed-algebraic radicals form the value of the fifth degree singular moduli at r in any order, knowing only two consecutive values i.e. the values at r and r/25.
An Improvement on Page Ranking Based on Visits of Links
Web search can simply be considered as a process of user enters the query and search system returns a set of most relevant pages based on the query. But results returned are not mostly relevant to user’s query and rankin...
Technical Comparison between IPv4 & IPv6 and Migration from IPv4 to IPv6
These days IPv6 over IPv4 tunnels are widely used to form the Global IPv6 Internet. This paper demonstrates the two tunnels and shows when to immigrate from IPv4 to IPV6.Then the risks of immigration are discussed step b...
The Renewable Curiosity: A Review
Renewable energy solutions are most famously misrepresented as solely household level energy technology. The intermittent nature of renewables raises questions on their increasing contribution and to what extent they sho...
