Sustainable land use in the Carpathian region: assessment and problem

Abstract
The need to ensure sustainable (a balanced foot) mountain areas of Ukraine on the basis of compliance with the first principles of sustainable development in environmental management, including sustainable land use is stressed. Submitted by techniques of integrated assessment of sustainable environmental management, taking into account the specificity of mountain areas. The assessment of sustainable land use in the Carpathian region is done and a number of problems associated with the use of land resources is identified.
