Syndrome of Portal Hypertension: Possibilities of Modern Diagnosis

Abstract

The article deals with the possibilities of modern medicine in the diagnosis of portal hypertension syndrome. Diagnostic criteria for ultrasound, endoscopic, radiographic, angiographic and laboratory techniques in the evaluation of this syndrome are presented. The combined use of several research methods allow us to differentiate the form of portal hypertension, to assess its severity and risk of complications.
