Abstract

The article titled “Synonyms in Turkic languages of the Oguz group” is devoted to your attention and is devoted to one of the most poorly studied topics in linguistics. The author examines the common features and differences in the Turkic languages, traces the successive development of all Turkic languages and gives their historico-linguistic classification. Based on the examples, a comparative analysis of lexical and grammatical synonyms in Turkic languages, differing in phonetic features, main features that determine the relevance of stylistic synonyms based on the materials of the Azerbaijani language is given. The author comes to such a scientific conclusion that the study of synonymy not only reveals the semantic features of single-valued and polysemantic words, but also illuminates the ways of lexical development of the language itself. Comparisons of written literary monuments of the Middle Ages and modern times, the identification of synonymous series of words in the studied monuments, and the semantic, stylistic and other relationships between them are defined.
