Syntactic homonymy in word combinations

Abstract
The presented article deals with the features of the syntactic homonymy on the level of both free word combinations and phraseological units or idioms. From the article one can understand that only free word combinations can create syntactic homonymy as their constituent parts change semantically and grammatically depending on the given text. But idioms are unable to be used as homonyms in the language. It is possible to use idioms in their literal and figurative meanings, and the dominant meaning is determined according to the text. Depending on the text ambiguous situations can be analyzed and substituted with disambiguate.
