Synthesis and Thermo Mechanical Behaviour of Shape Memory Alloys: A Review
Journal Title: International Journal for Research in Applied Science and Engineering Technology (IJRASET) - Year 2015, Vol 3, Issue 1
Abstract
Shape memory alloys (SMAs) are a novel functional material and have found increasing applications in many areas. They are a unique class of materials with the ability to recover their shape when the temperature is increased. This paper synthesizes information on the properties, synthesis methods, characterization techniques and applications of Shape Memory Alloys and its useful aspect towards utilization in various fields.
