System Więziennictwa w Polsce, a resocjalizacja penitencjarna

Abstract
This paper describes the structure of prison service, referring to the Act on Prison Service of 9 Apr 2010, where it was specified that one of the many tasks of the Prison Service is to carry out rehabilitation activities in relation to prisoners. It also presents penalty systems and outlines the concept of penitentiary resocialization. Moreover, means of correction of convicted persons are also discussed. The author also presents an exemplary resocialization program that is being implemented in penitentiary units. Finally, the paper presents the up-to-date research findings from the Master’s thesis completed by the author in June 2016 entitled Influence of Prison Service System on the Internal Security.
