Tantalum Based Thin Films Preparation, Structures and Properties
Journal Title: RECENT - Year 2013, Vol 14, Issue 38
Abstract
Tantalum based thin solid films have found increased applicability in a wide range of fields, in particular in microelectronic devices, due to their superior properties, caused mainly by their main component and its respective behaviour: good wear and corrosion resistance, high melting temperature, high ductility, chemical inertness and temperature dependant stable electrical resistivity. This paper intends to present a comprehensive review of the state-of-the-art research dealing with tantalum, tantalum oxide, tantalum nitride and tantalum oxynitride thin solid film systems, describing some of the usual preparation methods and what parameters might be important to the structural development, followed by a discussion regarding the structures that one might encounter while dealing with these types of thin solid films and presenting some applications.

Experimental Determination of Connecting Pipe Length Influence to the Data Acquired
The utilization of pneumatic muscles in industrial applications is still in a premature stage, due to the relative freshness of these components. The paper presents some of the results of research carried out in the Flui...
The Heat Treatment Parameters Analysis Using Two-Way ANOVA Method
Analysis of variance (ANOVA) is the method used to compare continuous measurements to determine if the measurements are sampled from the same or different distributions. It is an analytical tool used to determine the sig...
Reliability Analysis and Evaluation of Industrial Tank Heating System
The present paper describes the development and application of a methodology for reliability analysis and evaluation of a tank heating system. The reliability structure of the studied system is presented as a triple modu...
Simulation of Pneumatic Directional Valve
There is well known the fact that to design and simulate a system there may be used two methods: mathematical modelling, using dynamics equation of the system, or using oriented software that includes predefined elements...
Investigating the Effects of Oil Pressure on Valve Rotation for a Direct Acting Valve Train
This paper investigates the influence of oil pressure on the engine exhaust valve rotation for a direct acting valve train. In introduction, a short presentation of the direct acting valve train is made and the necessity...
