TARAS SHEVCHENKO AND INTELLIGENCE OF THE MIDDLE OF XIX: INTERACTION IN THE CONTEXT OF HISTORICAL PEREYASLAV REGION

Abstract
The article reveals the communication of T. Shevchenko with the intelligentsia, which is directly or indirectly connected with the Pereyaslav region. Separately stands out the category of intellectuals, who lived in St. Petersburg, but arrived, studied and knew our native land. T. Shevchenko's communication with the literary-theatrical group «Pereyaslav compatriots» is considered. Attention is paid to the personalities of the Ukrainian intelligentsia, which in the middle of the nineteenth century lived in Pereyaslav district and influenced the formation of the poet's consciousness. All these contacts are mutually influential both in the intelligentsia and on T. Shevchenko, which resulted from the writing of the most significant poetry of the Pereyaslav cycle.
