Abstract
This paper is devoted to a friction phenomenon, its classification and influence on work stabilization of the rotating mechanical modules. There has been considered a case of multi-cylinder engines crankshafts that are prone to torsional vibrations due to the absorbed loads. The lack of vibrations damping jeopardizes resonance and module destruction. To achieve and maintain steady work of crankshafts, the possibility of dissipating the mechanical vibrations energy in fluids (silicone oils) is considered. For that purpose, it is intended to use internal friction of the fluids that co-create the passive, viscous torsional vibrations dampers.
