Teaching Skills Required for Handling Adhd Students

Abstract

Teaching is a profession which enhances the skills of students through various teaching methods and teaching skills. Every teacher should have many teaching skills which are used in the classroom during teaching. The teacher has the ability to teach the concept according to the learners. In the Inclusive setup, every classroom contains both normal and special child. The task of every teacher is to teach the lesson for special students like ADHD, language disorder etc. The main and foremost objective of this study is to assess the teaching skills required for the teachers to handle students with ADHD. 20 Government, Private teachers in and around Cheyyar are selected as sample for the present study. Open ended interview is conducted to collect data from the samples. The data thus collected is analysed and tabulated. The result shows that the teacher has to enhance their teaching skills in Leadership, Teamwork, Communication and Mentor while handling ADHD students.
