Technical state of signaling systems in organization of maintenance process
Journal Title: Archives of Transport - Year 2010, Vol 22, Issue 2
Abstract
Technical state of any object can be described as the set of instantaneous values of his properties. Changes of the signaling devices technical state are the result of the ageing and wearing process of its components, as well as of the realization of targeted maintenances. Information about adverse change of the technical state gives rise to the decision-making problem. Its solution involves defining the aim of necessary maintenance operations and to establish the timing and extent of their implementation. In practice of signaling systems exploitation, it is a lack of mechanisms for speedy solution of such problems. Process modeling realized in signaling devices exploitation system, in information-decision frame, aims to improve decision making processes and increase the effectiveness of the exploitation system.

Estimation of the bus delay at the stopping point on the base of traffic parameters
Contemporary methods of spatial planning of urban transport systems provide for designers enough opportunities in selecting the placement of stopping points for public transport. However in every city there exist very in...
Assessment of Driver’s Reaction Times in Diverisified Research Environments
Reaction time is one of the basic parameters that characterize the driver and very important in the analysis of accident situations in road traffic. This paper describes research studies on the reaction time evaluation a...
Conception of modernization of a line section example in the context of a fast railway connection
For centuries, it is known that people always prefer to accommodate in the region where there is good transportation network. Proper organization of transportation is one of the key elements which influence the dynamics...
Study of driver behaviour at turbo-roundabouts
The article presents the results of preliminary research into the behaviour of drivers at turbo-roundabouts. The subject of the research included the frequency of driver behaviour against the traffic rules, and the speed...
Design optimal rural road network using GIS
To have an effective development among the isolated, remote areas, rural transportation is recognized as a key factor. Efficient rural transportation depends largely on a well-knit road network to provide accessibility a...
