Technique and results of laboratory research of greenhouse soils' moisture computerized meter

Abstract

The decision of scientific and practical tasks on development and research of computerized laboratory test methods of non-destructive measuring control technical means of greenhouse soils moisture is a prerequisite for scientific bases substantiation on the progressive technologies introduction of industrial greenhouses microclimate parameters monitoring and control in order to increase the production rates, volumes and quality indicators of greenhouse vegetable and seedling products. Research on the development of a laboratory test method for a computerized greenhouse soils moisture meter has been carried out using modern microprocessor and info-communication technologies, as well as taking into account the actual technological conditions for the greenhouse crops cultivation. Hardware and software implementation of a computerized greenhouse soils moisture meter, which has a modular structure, has been developed as a result of the carried out research. The developed meter has been tested in laboratory conditions and its transformation characteristic has been obtained by taking into account the soil aeration porosity factor. The dynamic characteristics of the measuring process of the greenhouse soils moisture control have been evaluated. Priority directions for further studies of a computerized greenhouse soils moisture meter have been substantiated. It is proved that the obtained research results are the scientific and practical basis for conducting further priority studies on the introduction of the developed meter into the real production conditions of crops cultivation on protected soil.
