Abstract
Czy możliwe jest wypracowanie zestawu koncepcji, który mógłby zastąpić ścisłe rozróżnienie na to, co technologiczne, i to, co społeczne? Proponowany w tekście zestaw pojęć – asocjacje, substytucje i translacje – pozwala nie tylko wykroczyć poza powyższą opozycję, ale również przeformułować pewne tradycyjne pytania dotyczące ładu społecznego, a w szczególności władzy, dominacji oraz ich trwałości. Jednakże, zamiast posługiwać się oddzielnymi zestawami narzędzi w celu analizy władzy i uległości, przekonuję tu, że są to tylko wartości tych samych zmiennych, które należy badać w całej ich rozpiętości. Twierdzę, że na drodze rekonstrukcji sieci [społeczno-technologicznych] możemy uzyskać wyczerpujący opis zjawisk władzy i dominacji.
