TECHNOLOGIES OF SUPERCONDUCTING TRANSFORMERS

Abstract
In the paper, an overview of the current research, the construction and technology of superconducting transformers has been presented.The benefits of using and production of high temperature superconducting transformers have been shown. The parameters of the conventionaland superconducting transformer have been compared. Moreover, different structures of superconducting winding wires and transformers have been elucidated. In addition, the power losses occurring in both conventional and high-temperature superconducting transformers have been discussed.
