TENSION LEG PLATFORMS: AN OVERVIEW OF PLANNING, DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION

Abstract
A Tension Leg Platform, which is called TLP, in short, is a type of fixed platforms that is anchored to the seafloor. The Deck platform and the hull of LTP’s are connected to the foundations at the seafloor using tensioned tendon legs. Foundations of LTB’s are anchored to the seabed using concrete piles. In this paper planning, design and construction of tension leg platforms are described.
