Abstract
Мета статті полягає у розгляді науково-теоретичних підходів до формування поняття «сталий розвиток регіону» та «економічний розвиток регіону» в сучасній політичній економіці. У статті досліджено генезис теорій сталого і регіонального розвитку, встановлена відмінність між двома процесами та сформовані дані поняття. Сформульовані базові теоретичні припущення вносять внесок у теорію сталого розвитку регіону та регіональної економіки.
