Terahertz Ray Imaging: a new ray of hope in Imaging Science

Journal Title: Journal of Academy of Dental Education - Year 2014, Vol 1, Issue 1

Abstract

Imaging technology is becoming increasingly prevalent in our society.Even though there were many successful imagingmodalities ever since the advent of roentgen rays, they all have their shortcomings. And imaging of dental tissue had alwaysbeen a challenge in imaging science due to the various layers which differ in physical and chemical and structural proper-ties. Considerable improvisations of existing techniques and new research activities are going on in the development ofnewer imaging modalities that could revolutionize the science of dental radiology.
