Journal Title: International Journal of Research in Social Sciences - Year 2017, Vol 7, Issue 4

Abstract

The issue of quality in the E- Learning programs has not yet come to rest. In this regard, there are still many higher education institutions, such as the University of Guilan, which need ongoing assessment of their programs to keep up with the global standards of virtual education across the globe. Therefore, this study was designed to construct, validate and implement an instrument (TOATEL) in order to test the attitudes of one major group of stakeholders (N= 103 students) towards the role of nine major components of success inmost E-Learning systems: technology, content, goals and objectives, text structure and content, graphic designs, length of the course and its efficacy, educational sources, teaching method, and cooperation and interaction. The results of the factor analyses, and the non-parametric Mann-Whitney U Test pinpointed the areas in the E-Learning programs that need to improve in order for the University to be able to keep up with the standards of the E-Learning systems .
