Abstract
The article examines testing in the US in the 21st century. The author emphasizes that the attitude toward testing in the United States has changed. At the present stage, much attention is paid to the issue of test bias, most of which are considered cultural bias. The author considers that the use of standardized examinations in the US system of education in the 21st century has become and probably will continue to be the topic of debate among educators and the public in the US and other countries around the world. Dissemination of the use of standardized testing has revealed not only its strengths, but also its weaknesses.
