Abstract
In the article authors discussed one of the important stages of the work which is related to the developed monitoring system of traffic impact on air quality and acoustic climate. The main assumption of the system is to base it on lowcost solutions. Hence, for measuring the concentration of carbon monoxide, particulate matter and sound level, such sensors were proposed. Selecting a proper sensor requires not only analysis of its technical and functional characteristics, but also a number of tests e.g. related to its durability. It is also important to determine the reliability of the low-cost sensor. This paper presents a comparison of results obtained using low-cost sensors for carbon monoxide concentration, particulate matter and sound level with other sensors available on the commercial market for which there is evidence of qualitative credibility.
