Journal Title: Prohominum - Year 2022, Vol 4, Issue 3

Abstract

In Venezuela, the issue of inclusion of young people from the LGBTIQ+ community, an acronym for the words Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Transsexual, Transvestite, Intersexual and Queer+, the latter including people whose sexual orientation is not exclusively heterosexual, has been impacted by stereotypes. Despite the fact that resolutions, agreements and international treaties have been signed and ratified at the international level both in the United Nations (UN) and in the Organization of American States (OAS), the civil and political rights of the people are not recognized in Venezuela. LGBTIQ+ community. It should be noted that inclusion is a fundamental axis within the Bolivarian curriculum because this issue affects most educational institutions. The objective of this scientific article is to characterize from the academic space the process of inclusion of young people from the LGBTIQ+ community. The method used was the bibliographic review and hermeneutics for the analysis and interpretation of content. After the review process, it was concluded that educational institutions are still in the process of recognizing each child with their respective differences and qualities. As teachers, addressing issues related to sexual diversity and inclusion should aim to educate in how the population manages its fears and ignorance about sexuality; It is necessary to disseminate information on sexual and reproductive rights from the perspective of human rights, based on gender norms not as absolute epistemic positions, but as a conciliatory act to achieve human freedom.
