The Aids from the Soviet Union during the Turkish War of Independence

Abstract

The Turkish War of Independence was a period which was marked by economic problems. Alongside the aid that came from the state itself, foreign aid was also sought for. In this period, especially aids from the Russian territory and from Turkish and Muslim people lived in this area were significant. This work aims to examine this issue in the light of the Prime Ministry Ottoman Archives and the Institute of Turkish Revolutionary History archive materials.
