THE ANALYSIS THE FORMATION OF ETHNOGRAPHIC SOURCE FOR THESTUDY OF FOLK EMBROIDERY ON THE TERRITORY OF PRIDNESTROVIE

Abstract
The territory of Pridnestrovie is considered as a special historical and cultural region, inhabited by different nationalities, the most numerous of which being Ukrainians and Moldovans. The issues concerning specificity of popular culture, the folk embroidery in particular, are touched upon in the article. The study was based on the exhibits of Pridnestrovian museums and on the material collected in the villages and towns of Pridnestrovie.
