Journal Title: Religación. Revista de Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades - Year 2019, Vol 4, Issue 13

Abstract

Anthropology historically confronted transformations, both on the epistemological and theoretical leveland as reformulation of methods and objectives. Globalization and global changes are other factors thathave influenced it. This is the framework in which the anthropology of clandestine migrations and the crossing of borders was born. This paper reviews events such as deportations or border control in the light of the concept of culture and new forms of mobility. They are new objects and subjects for anthropology, but we are focusing in Mexico and especially in the border city of Tijuana, in last year's.
