The apitoxine use in apitherapy and its effects on the adverse effects of treatment

Journal Title: ACTA Apicola Brasilica - Year 2017, Vol 5, Issue 1

Abstract

Nowadays apitherapy is highlighted by the large variability of products derived from bees for therapeutic purposes. The bee venom it is the poison produced by Apis mellifera bees in order to protect the colony against the wide variety of predators. The study seeks to understand the use of bee venom in apitherapy as well as its effects in the treatment of diseases from a literature review. Methodologically, the research is a literature review arising from the careful selection of scientific papers and other publications dating from 2005 to 2015. It was found that even, triggering severe allergic processes in the case of some individuals, more detailed studies on the bee venom will be paramount so that you can know more detail about its numerous benefits, thus it is necessary that more research is done and published on the bee venom, so that people can have access to increasingly effective treatments for diseases that currently there is no cure, so-called chronic diseases.
