The aplication of precision attachments OT Equator profile in prosthetic rehabilitation of patients following surgery of the floor of the mouth neoplasm

Abstract
The prosthetic treatment of an edentulous mandible with a conventional complete denture does not always give satisfactory results. It gets even more complicated in patients after cancer surgery with losses of oral tissue of varied sizes.Long-term clinical observations and conducted studies have shown undisputed benefits of implementing implantoprosthetic methods in this group of patients. Even two intraosseous implants together with an overdenture supported by them can lead to good retention and stability of the prosthesis. This paper presents a multi-stage prosthetic treatment of a patient after surgical removal of cancer in the bottom of the mouth. To stabilize the post-surgical overdenture prosthesis supported by intraosseous implants, retention components have been used, first Dolder bar and then the „OT Equator Profile” system.
