The Appliance of New Material in Ship System Piping

Journal Title: Jaunųjų mokslininkų darbai - Year 2011, Vol 31, Issue 2

Abstract

Corzan C-PVC and ABS plastic can replace the most widely used steel pipes in sanitation and waste water systems. Materials can serve for about 50 years, they are very corrosion proof, therefore they are suitable in sea water systems. GRE pipes is one of the most universal alternatives to copper and steel pipes. These pipes can be used in the largest quantity of systems. Having installed piping using GRE, ABS plastic and corzan C-PVC their reliability would increase and their price and weight would decrease.
