THE APPLICATION OF CHITOSAN, PYTHIUM OLIGANDRUM AND GRAPEFRUIT EXTRACT IN THE PROTECTION OF COMMON BEAN (PHASEOLUS VULGARIS L.) FROM SOIL-BORNE PHYTOPATHOGENS
Journal Title: Progress on Chemistry and Application of Chitin and its Derivatives - Year 2008, Vol 0, Issue
Abstract
Results of the present studies and abundant information from literature [2, 4, 6, 7, 11-14, 20] make it possible to include the tested biopreparations (especially Biosept 33 SL and Biochikol 020 PC) into effective biological preparations of plant protection having a positive effect on the development of antagonists, in this way protecting the plants of Phaseolus vulgaris from soil-borne phytopathogens. That is why such biopreparations as Polyversum, Biosept 33 SL and Biochikol 020 PC can be recommended to the producers of common bean who use integrated plant protection.

THE INFLUENCE OF SELECTED POLYMERS ON THE RHEOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF HYDROGELS WITH CHITOSAN APPLIED ON THE SKIN
The aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of methylcellulose and carboxymethylcellulose on the rheological properties of hydrogels applied to skin on chitosan in the presence of the additives propylene glycol and g...
VAPOUR PERMEATION STUDY OF WATER AND ETHANOL THROUGH CROSSLINKED CHITOSAN AND ALGINATE MEMBRANES
A vapour permeation of water and ethanol through homogenous chitosan and alginate membranes was investigated. The influence of the polymer matrix and crosslinking agents, and measurement protocol on the transport propert...
INHIBITION OF EHRLICH ASCITES TUMOUR (EAT) CELLS PROLIFERATION THROUGH CHITOSAN-MEDIATED REGULATION OF ACTIVITY OF THE AKT PATHWAY
Isoenzyme M2 pyruvate kinase, which is a marker of cancer transformation, can take both tetramer (cytosol) and dimer (nucleus) forms. The former is responsible for ATP synthesis, and the latter demonstrates histone H1 ki...
STUDY OF THE INFLUENCE OV UV RADIATION ON BIODEGRADABLE BLENDS BASED ON CHITOSAN AND STARCH
The biodegradable blends of chitosan and starch with different component ratios were prepared by casting method. Obtained thin films were UV-irradiated (λ = 254 nm) and changes in chemical structure were monitored using...
