THE ASSESSMENT OF INDUSTRIAL RISKS AS A METHOD OF LABOUR PROTECTION MANAGEMENT AT METALLURGICAL INDUSTRY

Abstract

Purpose. To present improved methods of occupational injuries analysis considering the accident risks and devel- opment of measures for their reduction. Significant portion of the gross domestic product is created by metallurgical industry, which provides public and private revenues. The injury level is affected by numerous interconnected factors at metallurgical enterprises. Methodology. The criterion for determining the risk level has to include: legislation analysis, the working timing, injury and disease analysis, etc. Originality. Production risks have been analyzed for the metallur- gical industry activity. It has been shown commonly used models for formalizing risk, which connects the probability of occurrence of adverse events and the probable magnitude of the possible consequences as a result of this event. Results. The system for evaluation the factors which affect the risk level for job groups with similar conditions as the result of classification of information about the circumstances of the production process in the steel industry paper has been pro- pose. Practical value. The activities to reduce the occupational hazards for practical implementation at the sectorial level have been proposed.
